Ehsanul Haque Jasim is a journalist by profession. He has been involved in journalism since 2009. He prepared several investigative news items in several English dailies published from Dhaka. Considering his versatile research skills and news reporting in the field of environment and public health, he was awarded many times. He was awarded the ‘National Award for Tobacco Control 2023’ by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Bangladesh.Alongside a working journalist, he is also executive director of Inter Press Network- IPN, a government approved research institution in Bangladesh. He is also a Ph.D researcher in Dhaka University.

Ehsanul Haque Jasim was born in 1987 at Brahmmangram village under No. 7 Dakshin Banigram Union at Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet. He is son of Shafiqul Haque and Maryam Begum who was Vice Chairman of Kanaighat upazila. He is married to Tazmun Nahar Begum and the couple has three children. Ehsanul Haque Jasim completed his Graduation and Post-Graduation from Dhaka University in 2008 and 2009. He also obtained his M.Phil degree from this leading institution in Bangladesh.
